Title of Bulletin Board: Winter Olympics Doorway

Description:

This doorway was created in honor of the the winter Olympics. As students entered the gym for the Olympics, I would play the Olympic theme song as students opened the doors and had a small battery operated torch. The first person that entered the gym would light the torch. Each class in the school, grades K-6, were separated into four countries [USA, Canada, Germany, and China] During each PE class students participated in a winter Olympic unit. Each week the medals won for each country were calculated and placed onto the doorway. Students loved walking into school seeing the medal count and learned about the country flags in the process.
